Activities in and around Brian Head, Utah

skiing     There is something for just about everyone to do and enjoy in Brian Head. Brian Head Ski Resort offers separate beginners and advanced ski slopes and lessons are taught at the Navajo Ski Lodge (the beginners slopes). There is night skiing, two tubing hills, a jump bag, and plenty of area to explore on your board or skis. Skis, snowboards, ski bikes, and snowmobiles can be rented in Brian Head. Giant Steps Ski Lodge has a snowboard park that gets bigger and better every year. Cross country skiing is fantastic in the Cedar Breaks National Monument. Sleigh rides are also available. But Brian Head also offers excellent day spas for massages, facials, and just overall relaxation and rejuvenation. The town has a pond that is stocked with fish and offers kayaking in the summer. After a long day of skiing there are full bars in the Double Tree and Cedar Breaks Lodges. Many of the condos offer jacuzzis and saunas as well. During the summer months the Giant Steps Ski Lodge is turned into a mountain biking park. Horseback riding and atv trails are fun summer activities in Brian Head as well. There is even a trail that takes riders from Brian Head and connects to the Duck Creek atv trail system. The Cedar Breaks Monument just outside of town is a great place for guided hikes, nature courses, nightime astronomy parties, the wildflower festival, or just taking in the incredible vistas. Brian Head is close to some of the best hunting in the state. Brian Head is located in the Panguitch Elk Draw, and some of the largest bulls in the state have been taken within 20 miles of Brian Head. With Brian Head Ski Resort coming under new ownership in 2013, we are all excited to see the direction the town and resort are going to take over the next few years.
